Neighbours Day 2017 at Woodside Community Garden
Riverpark Action Group held a Neighbours Day event at Woodside Community Garden on 1st April.
The theme was “Neighbours enjoying the neighbourhood amenities with fellow neighbours”. Thanks, Community Waitakere / Henderson-Massey Local Board for their $200 contribution.
We wished to create an environment where adults could relax and children could be occupied with activities. Massey Matters lent us giant Jenga and connect 4.
Mike created plaster frogs and seahorses for painting and the children also painted river stones to hide around Woodside Reserve #westierocks. Two gourds that we grew were also painted up beautifully.
Our stream (Lower Swanson Stream) provided space for people to cool down in a tranquil bush background.
Regina and Michelle from Sport Waitakere gave advice about hosting a Healthy BBQ that was tasty and healthy. Thank you, Neighbours, for popping by; Woodside Community Garden welcomes you anytime. Visit www.woodsidecommunitygarden.wordpress.com for more photos.
