A closer look at our new kitchen!

The kitchen renovation was a journey that started back in July or August 2020, but the project had been brought up in past years by Laurel who was Manager at the time Massey Matters took over the building. It began with a meeting with Helen from Auckland Council and then Greer our Project Manager and Ian Miller from UMS for the duration of the works.

The changes and upgrades that were accommodated are:

• Lowered the wall, so now it’s a large stainless-steel island.

• New larger stove and vent.

• A lot more cupboards and storage.

• Open shelving modernising the space and makes things easier to get to.

• Swapped the whole kitchen around so that people can sit and enjoy the warmth of the sun and views outside.

• 3 sinks instead of only one.

• A dishwasher.

• Fresher look and feel and accommodating to larger groups of people.

A few days after our kitchen opening and blessing there was a group of up to 10 people in the kitchen!
