Come celebrate Matariki this year at Massey Matariki 2022.
Kicking off with a series of workshops that explore te ao Māori, our celebrations culminate in a free public event to mark the official public holiday on Friday 24 June.

Waikawa Basket Workshop
Join us for a weaving session and learn how to make a waikawa basket. Faciliated by Rose Terewai Yerkovich.

Rongoa workshop
Join us for a fun and insightful session on rongoa, led by Reiki and Rongoa Practitioner Kathie Pryor (Ngati Awa / Tuhoe).
The session will include the planting of a Matariki Garden. You will also have the opportunity to make your own panipani (balm) and wairakau (medicinal tonic).
