Make an Easter Bunny with Debbie
Easter is coming up and we’re getting into the spirit by using some old fabric and a healthy dose of creativity to make something super-cute to mark the holiday.
Massey Matters team member Debbie has developed a sure-fire technique for creating your own lovable stuffed Bunny, using common items found around the home.
You’ll need:
Scissors
Pins
Needles
Sewing Machine (if you do not have a sewing machine the bunny can be sewn by hand)
Thread (dental floss or fine fishing line nylon are great substitutes)
A Chopstick
Fabric or Felt. You can also upcycle a piece of clothing or another item such as an old tablecloth
Stuffing (if you do not have toy stuffing and you have an old pillow or cushion this will have stuffing inside it that will be suitable)
Small amount of rice
Buttons for eyes (you could just draw on the eyes and nose)
Something to embellish your bunny - this could be a small bracelet, a beaded necklace, ribbon, or create your own from what you have at home
Copy the template from the pic below onto a piece of A4 paper, and check out Debbie’s video for a step-by-step guide.
Happy crafting!
