Farewell to Laurel & Samantha

After four years with Massey Matters, our Manager Laurel has headed up north for a fabulous new opportunity working in the Youth sector, while Samantha is headed South to be closer to family.

Laurel has made a big impact on our community, helping shape and grow the work that Massey Matters does in the area. Since Laurel has been leading the organisation, we’ve moved from our little office, fondly known as Siberia (it was freezing!!) to employing Samantha who managed the Manutewhau Comnmunity Hub in West Harbour. We then moved our team across the road onto Triangle Park and into the Massey Community Hub.

Samantha who we farewelled a week after Laurel has left us to purse some exciting opportunities of her own and to be closer to her family outside of Auckland. Alongside Admin Assistant Tina, they’ve build a warm, fun and safe space for Massey and West Harbour residents in the Manutewhau Community Hub.

The team is going to miss the presence and hard work of these two ladies, though we know they’re out there continuing to do some great work!
