The Gift of Fun!

Colwill School Massey was, very generously, gifted a large amount of Lego from Auckland City Mission… enough to fill a hatchback with the seats down! It has been most appreciated in the senior school as a wet day activity – something we need at the moment!

Colwill School wishes to thank Auckland City Mission for the Lego donation, also The Warehouse, Westgate for helping us out with the Lego storage containers.  

This was written by Lego in the 1970s. They had the right idea…

“The urge to create is equally strong in all children. Boys and girls. It’s imagination that counts. You build whatever comes into your head, the way you want it. A bed or a truck. A dolls house or a spaceship. A lot of boys like dolls houses. They’re more human than spaceships. A lot of girls prefer spaceships. They’re more exciting than dolls houses. The most important thing is to put the right material in their hands and let them create whatever appeals to them.”
