Massey Community Hub

Kia ora, ko Melanie Hohua taku ingoa. I initially started with Massey Matters to initiate the Massey Community Consultation Survey, and am now in the role of the Massey Hub Co-ordinator.

I live locally and attended Massey High. I have volunteered my time whilst studying at Unitec within the Massey Community. As a result, I am grateful to be working locally and have an invested interest for Massey residents to access the activities and services that Massey Matters provides.

Regular activities at the Massey Community Hub include; Communicare, Tai Chi, Te Reo, Flax Weaving, Niutau, Youth Connections and Guitars and Stars.

Our regular groups include; Quilters and Stitchers, Muslim Prayer Group, Vaka Pasifika, Plunket Parenting and Quit Smoking.

We also have the Haven Church and Discover Church utilising our hub for their Sunday services, and a monthly Meditation group.

Have you heard about our new activities? Play Now Whanau Play Sessions and the Christian Assist Trust for advocacy and budgeting services. They’re FREE! And there’s more to come so watch this space!

Did you know we have two rooms available for hire?  These are great for family occasions and smaller groups that need a place to meet.

I would like to acknowledge Christine MacFarlane for the amazing work she did, and the huge support she gave us for a successful transition.

I look forward to meeting you, come on by and have a cuppa.
