Work has begun on our Freedom Garden!

Pearl and I (Adorate) got to work today on the garden right outside the Hub.

We’ve been waiting all winter for the ground to soften from all the rain. Today we pulled out the main bushes and stuck up some signs to get some new volunteers (fingers crossed). If you’re reading this, come by the Hub and give a hand for a few hours. We’d really appreciate it :)

Rob from the Triangle Park Teaching Garden gave us a hand with his car by tugging out the larger bushes.

We’'ll be back in the garden next week Wednesday to level out the the dirt. After that we’ll do some landscaping planning to design how we want it to look.

By winter we should have a vibrant and thriving garden!!
