Check out what the Youth got up to these holidays....

Welcome to Term Two! 

As the winter chill starts to visit, we are keeping warm by reflecting on our fond memories of the awesome holiday programme. 

Run over 5 mornings, the local Massey youth got stuck in at the Hub with a range of fun activities. 

Day One: The first day we got into the garden and painted some rocks. The kids loved getting out side and enjoyed the fresh air before the rain started again. 

Day two: The second day the kids got across to the Manutewhau Reserve and enjoyed playing sports and games together. Its so good to see our youth enjoying our free local parks. We try to take them there every opportunity we get. 

Day three: Always a popular one, the third day we turned our large meeting room into a cinema and had popcorn, bean bags and a movie. The kids watched the new Pixar movie, Coco, and absolutley loved it!

Day four: For a special treat we got the older kids into the community van took them out to Muriwai. We wanted to take them somewhere local to show them the beauty of this awesome place we call home. 

Day five: On our final day we put the kids to work in the kitchen and baked up a storm. The kids loved getting their hands dirty and made a tonne of cookie master pieces. 

Thanks so much to our helpers who made this possible! We love running the holiday programmes because it offers local youth a chance to do something different with their holidays, get involved in the community, make new friends, AND HAVE SOME FUN!!!!
