Maori Language Week Celebration

Thanks so much to everyone who helped us celebrate Maori Language week this year!!!

We had some much fun during the week learning new phrases, place names and greetings. Thank you to everyone who helped us get the pronunciation down.

We had a really awesome celebration at the end of the week where we

• walked through the Manutewhau Reserve and learnt how to cut flax

• read stories about Maui with the Playcentre kids who came along

• had a go at some Maori aerobics

• cooked and ate some delicious Hangi with the help of our awesome volunteer Rona.

Thanks so much to everyone who came down. We hope you had as good a time as we did.
